Adoptable Thursday: Old Dogs Need Love Too

I have a soft spot for old dogs, probably because my senior citizen crossed the Rainbow bridge only two years ago.  She was a firecracker of a dog who then mellowed into the loveliest old lady.  Old dogs are so grateful for a warm bed, some good food in their belly and a scratch behind the ears.  This sweet faced boxer needs a retirement home where she can live out her final days dreaming of chasing squirrels while she lays in front of the fire.

Notes:

Hey there, the names Nelly. My friends at the shelter like to call me Nelly Girl. I’ve had quite an interesting walk in life, it’s a long story that maybe one of my humane friends would share with you. They will also tell you I’m very very picky with who I like and bond with. I may be older, but I still have spirit. I will need time to adjust to you, but I am a calm and relaxed girl. I will need to be your only companion for I am used to being the only one. If you would like for me to be a house mate, and your companion, come down to the shelter and see how we do together.
**My loving friends at Home At Last are willing to waive my adoption fee to better help me find my forever home!**
