Adoptable Thursday: Old Dogs Need Love Too

 

I have a soft spot for old dogs, probably because my senior citizen crossed the Rainbow bridge only two years ago.  She was a firecracker of a dog who then mellowed into the loveliest old lady.  Old dogs are so grateful for a warm bed, some good food in their belly and a scratch behind the ears.  This sweet faced boxer needs a retirement home where she can live out her final days dreaming of chasing squirrels while she lays in front of the fire.

I’ve had quite an interesting walk in life, it’s a long story that maybe one of my humane friends would share with you. They will also tell you I’m very very picky with who I like and bond with. I may be older, but I still have spirit. I will need time to adjust to you, but I am a calm and relaxed girl. I will need to be your only companion for I am used to being the only one. If you would like for me to be a house mate, and your companion, come down to the shelter and see how we do together.
