The BRUSHTAIL (Trichosurus Vulpecula) is a native of Australia where it is\u00a0protected in all states except Tasmania. It was introduced into New Zealand in the1860’s to establish the fur industry.\u00a0Unfortunately, New Zealand has no predatory animals and the number of\u00a0 Brushtails grew out of control. Early last century, the Brushtail was declared an agricultural pest\u00a0in New Zealand. The estimated 60-70 million Brushtails in New Zealand consumed\u00a0an estimated 21-25 tonnes of native forest per night. A week ago I switched my mixed breed to this food (from Innova Evo). Since she is a finicky eater, I was nervous that she wouldn’t eat it. Boy was I wrong! She whimpers and cries for this food and devours it. I switched her to this food because I was suspicious of allergies (constant gnawing and licking her feet year round). I’m not sure if its my imagination, but her itchy skin already seems better. She is licking herself much less now.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t
