The selected candidate will be leading a small team in finance/accounting and operations functions based in our North America headquarters, in Kent, WA, USA. He/she will provide strategic direction, oversight of revenue cycle work processes, and supervise budget development. He/she is also accountable for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the production sites and is responsible for the timely and reliable supply chain function.

Supply Chain and Operations

Liaise with New Zealand manufacturing plant to ensure timely production and reliable delivery of products
Oversee functional back office areas, facilitate the coordination of activities and policies to maintain quality and efficiency of office operations, product and service delivery
Oversee and improve business operations processes workflow, tools and standard operating procedures toward improved efficiency
Plan, organize, implement, and monitor all manufacturing and quality actions
Formulates and recommends manufacturing processes and programs to improve organization’s competitiveness, profitability, and quality performance
Manage internal operations to achieve a high level of efficiency while effectively controlling cost, and manage process improvement initiatives
Resolve issues and complexities that arise at any point of the supply chain network with the ultimate aim to produce/deliver the correct and required products
Execute efficient and traceable procedures in handling the various inventory accounts

Accounting and Finance

Coordinate all aspects of payroll with vendors including year-end tax reports
Report in compliance with external standards as well as internal controls
Manage internal financial processes, records and controls to ensure accurate and efficient internal business operations
Manage customer and vendors accounts including contract execution, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Record and monitor the company’s performance through SAP system

Develop financial plans and projections; assist with follow-on monthly and quarterly financial tracking and variance analysis
Execute cash management program, including rolling forecasts, banking liaison, linkage to payment strategy
Monitor the company’s financial health including budget, cash flow and profitability with monthly financial reports

Performance Management

Develop a list of KPIs and competencies for subordinates
Ensure that employees have the required competencies and can meet the KPIs, or that there is a process and plan by which they can acquire them
Provide timely feedback on how effectively employees are applying job knowledge and skills to achieve the goals established for their position.

Qualifications:

Addiction Foods is seeking an experienced business professional to manage the firm’s finances and day-to-day business operations. Applicants for the Finance and Operations Manager position should possess:

At least 5 years of experience in successful financial and business operations management
Comes from a manufacturing background
A Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in areas of Accounting, Finance, Operations, and/or other related fields
Proficient in Accounting and Inventory Management System, particularly with SAP system
Strong analytical skills and far-sightedness to think beyond current systems and explore new technological approaches toward continual improvement
Self-directed with strong time management, planning and organization skills
Able to work collaboratively across countries
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, positive disposition
Flexible and able to maintain equilibrium while effectively managing competing deadlines and priorities
